Domestic Cat Portrait
I just finished four mini 4x4in portraits for one family and here is the 1st one of a domestic cat. My client wanted a certain color scheme for the backgrounds and we chose for the cat whose name is Karmin a reddish tint.
This cat was lying down in the original reference photo and we decided in order to match the other three portraits to show her in a seated pose in the painting. I had to make the eye larger to compensate the closed eye in the photo.
