Victorian Kitchen Makeover Part 2

kitchen sink miniature

It's time to work on the sink area of the Victorian kitchen. Just like the stove everything had to be aged. A good way to try colors is to use watercolor pencils, since they can serve as a base layer or even wiped entirely off, if you are not happy with the look.

I forgot to share an easy wat to add embellishments to 1/24 scale miniatures. I have found that nail art stickers are just the right size. The border embellishment for the shelves was done with nail art. I will use them for decorative dishes as well.

Here you can see the border in place.

i wanted to add color to this side of the room and again use orange tones. As I was tossing ideas around I thought honey pot with a little bee. The pot was made with air dry clay and I manipulated resin to shape it into dripping honey and a bee. The bee is so tiny :)

Air dry clay was used to make all the other decorative items in the kitchen. Adding the decorative items was a lot of fun and made that side of the kitchen look homey.

Miniature kitchen dishes

For the decorative patterns on the dishes another set of nail art stickers was added.

I added a little cake I made and some flowers in a vase. I am happy with how all of these items are coming together.

The carved cabinet door is made out of air dry clay using a mold and then painted with oil paint to give it a wood like look
