Labrador Portrait of a Father and Son

Labrador Portrait of the Father

Labrador Portrait of the Father

I just finished another portrait of two Labradors. This is a rather unusual composition, but my client really wanted to use a particular photo reference that showed the relationship between this Labrador father and his pup.

There were some distracting elements in the floor that I removed. I also painted the two slightly lighter and with more vibrant colors to compensate for the dark photo. Below you can see the entire painting. Paint is drying and it will be ready to make it's way home to it's owners.
