Today was one of those days where everything seemed to be a struggle. Things that should work themselves out easily, just didn't. I finally got the blue car to separate from the sky, but it's not popping and I can't for the life of me figure out why not. Oh well, I guess I will need another day to fix all that needs fixing. I can't really tone down the chroma of the sky, because then the color won't harmonize with the companion piece. Well perhaps tomorrow will present a solution.
I am already working on the companion piece for the "Tin Sand Bucket" and have a little contest going on my Facebook Page.
From now until March 30th, 2011 make a title suggestion for the painting on the left with the two vintage race cars. The person whose title I pick receives a 8x10in paper print of the finished painting.
Update: The contest is over, but you can follow my Facebook page for new contest announcements.
