Thai Lettuce Wraps are super easy to make, are very healthy for you and just taste awesome! Even though this is a fairly light dish I have found that it can be very satisfying and it has become a favorite at our home.
Fast and easy, this is a wonderful refreshing dish with a little kick. This dish can be prepared with ground beef, but I make it with ground turkey that is seasoned.
2 TBSP dark soy sauce
4 TBSP Olive Oil
3 cloves of garlic, finely minced
1 1/2 cups ground beef or 1 package ground turkey
1/2 tsp curry powder
1/2 tsp tumeric
1/2 tsp Paprika
1/2 tsp Thyme
1/2 tsp Parsley
salt and pepper to taste
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 lettuce, separated into leaves
2 tbsp Thai Basil
1 carrot, thinly sliced for garnish
1. Heat Oil in pan and sautee the onions and garlic until golden brown
2. Add the beef, all spices, soy sauce and Parley and cook until beef is done
3. Serve by placing small amounts of beef mixture onto each lettuce leaf
4. Garnish with carrots and Thai Basil
