- What it covers: Additional heads/figures beyond the first single subject.
- Why charge extra: Requires individual layout planning, color matching, anatomical accuracy, and painting time.
Combining Multiple Photo References into One Scene
- What it covers: Merging people or pets from different photos into a single, cohesive portrait (e.g., placing family members together who were never photographed together).
- Why charge extra: Involves complex digital composition, adjusting lighting angles, matching scale/proportions, and re-harmonizing shadows so the final painting looks natural.
Photo Restoration & "Bringing Vintage / Old Photos to Life"
- What it covers: Working from low-resolution, blurry, damaged, black-and-white, or aged historical family photographs.
- Why charge extra: Requires significant hand-reconstruction of faded facial features, colorizing monochrome images, and sharp reference building before painting can even begin.
Custom Background / Scenic Environment
- What it covers: Replacing a plain or blurred background with a specific landscape, garden, home interior, or detailed location provided by the client.
- Why charge extra: Adds significant surface area, perspective setup, and environmental lighting balance.
Rush Order / Expedited Production
- What it covers: Bumping a commission to the front of your studio queue to meet a specific event date or birthday.
- Why charge extra: Reorganizes studio schedule and drying/production timelines.
Photo Combination & Layout Proofing Fee
- What it covers: Creating multiple initial digital layout mockups for complex multi-subject commissions before finalizing the paint design.

Shipping

Free U.S. Shipping: All custom portraits ship free within the Continental United States.

Studio Production & Dispatch: Because every piece is custom-made to order by artist Enzie Shahmiri, please allow 7–14 business days for creation, drying (for oils), and preparation before dispatch from our California studio.

Transit Time: Once shipped, domestic delivery takes an additional 2–5 business days via USPS.

Return & Exchange

Because every single portrait is custom-made just for you, we are unable to accept standard returns or exchanges. However, your happiness is deeply important to us!

Arrived Damaged? If your package or artwork happens to arrive damaged in transit, please accept our apologies and email us right away at portraitsbync@gmail.com with photos of both the item and the damaged shipping container. We will make it right as quickly as possible.
