Distressing Miniature Furniture

Today I am working on distressing all the furniture in the abandoned library. I use oil paints in thin washes to create shadows in the crevices of the table. Other areas might receive some highlights. All this is done to ground the pieces in the setting of the dilapidated, abandoned library. Once the paint is dry I will be adding the spider webs and some dust (sprinkled chalk). If you watch the entire video you can see how I am building the abandoned library setting.
