In the Silence of the Night
Share

I’ve been diving into different AI tools lately, teaching myself step by step how to make my content more visually engaging. For this piece, my goal was to capture a feeling of sadness and loneliness.
I started in MidJourney, experimenting with prompts to create images of a woman seated at a piano. Since I subscribe, I had a wide selection of images to choose from and carefully picked the ones that matched the mood I wanted. Once I had the visuals in mind, I moved on to Suno, where I entered my text prompts to generate the lyrics and haunting music that would bring the scene to life.

Since I originally posted this video to Tim Tok I was limited to the length of the video. I love the lyrics to this song and like to share the entire piece:
Lyrics:
Verse 1
In the forest where the shadows breathe,
I press the keys and let the silence grieve.
Every note is a ghost I knew,
Every chord is a memory of you.
Chorus
I left my world behind,
But it follows me tonight,
In the hollow of the trees,
Where the moon forgets the light.
Lonely echoes call my name,
And the forest sings my pain,
A haunting hymn of sorrow’s hand,
Played on keys of ash and sand.
Verse 2
Branches bend like the weight I bear,
The night is kind but it does not care.
Whispers drift through the autumn rain,
I touch the past but it slips away again.
Chorus
I left my world behind,
But it follows me tonight,
In the hollow of the trees,
Where the moon forgets the light.
Lonely echoes call my name,
And the forest sings my pain,
A haunting hymn of sorrow’s hand,
Played on keys of ash and sand.
Bridge
If I could turn these notes to wings,
Would they carry me back to where love still sings?
But silence binds me to this place,
Where shadows wear your fading face.
Outro
So I’ll play until the night is done,
A requiem for all I’ve lost and won.
And though I sit in this forest, torn,
A song of sorrow keeps me warm.
Now I want to sit at my own piano and play this piece. :)

To add movement, I used Sora, an advanced AI video generator from OpenAI, for certain segments, and then incorporated MidJourney’s video feature. Finally, I pulled everything together in Canva, stitching frames and clips into a cohesive storyline.
It took me many hours of experimenting, and while the result isn’t flawless, I’m proud of how far I’ve come as a beginner. This project pushed me creatively and showed me just how much can be expressed with these new tools.
I am going to stay away from social media and will be posting new content to my blogs, YouTube and Pinterest. I love to connect with you there.
