🌰 Tiny Treasures from Nature: Crafting with Acorns 🌰

Who knew acorns could become the stars of a miniature scene? 🌰 Recently, I discovered that there are actually two main types of acorns — ones with small, snug caps and others with wide, flat tops. The smaller-capped ones are adorable, but the German acorns (which I found thanks to a tip from fellow miniaturist Anja from @berenikes.kleine.welt) have the perfect shape for creative projects!

I have already used one to make tiny baskets for the sewing room   diorama I’m currently working on — and they look so charming! The natural texture of the caps adds instant warmth and realism to any miniature setting.

If you want to experiment, here are a few other ways to use acorns in your miniatures: Turn the caps into bowls or flower pots by sanding the edges smooth. Fill the centers with acrylic paint or miniature nail art designs, then seal them with a glossy varnish for a beautiful, resin-like finish. Use the tiny acorns themselves as decorative accents in autumn or woodland-themed dioramas. Next time you take a walk in the park, keep your eyes open — you might just find the perfect natural accessory for your next miniature masterpiece! 🍂
