I love it when I get unusual portrait requests because the end result is usually a very interesting customized pet portrait. This is the case with the portrait of this Maine Coon cat. The client wanted a two-tone painting of the cat against a dark sky with a full moon. I suggested rather than using black and white to go with deep tones of blue and ended up working in some purples as well. The resulting painting just pops and is full of mystery.
