Lab/Chow Mix named Honey

mini-portrait-of-pets.jpg

Meet Honey, who was a Lab/Chow mix and who I have painted for a client in Salt Lake City, Utah. Today I  want to talk abut my mini portraits. These portraits are painted on canvas which is mounted on a 4x4in wooden panel. They are ideal as gifts, since they are very reasonably priced (see below) and easy to ship and frame.

I even sell Fotobit collector frames, which can be purchased additionally for those who like to create a wall of their loved ones. The frames snap together and then can be arranged on the wall on all sorts of fun configurations.

Back to Honey ~ If you look at the photo reference you will see how flat all the whites are. I added a variety of soft hues, pinks and oranges to create visual interest and give the fur definition. I think it works well against the green background that my client had requested.

If you like to order a mini portrait look for the 4x4in listing in the drop down menu below.
