Horse Painting 608

Horse head 608

This is a commissioned digital painting of a horse that is standing in a field. I decided on an Impressionistic paint handling for added interest. horse muzzle The photo reference showed a lovely landscape with fall foliage and I took the golden, warm colors and punched them up in the reflected shadows. It softened the entire look of the painting. I also recommended that the original photo reference be cropped. My client has ordered a Fine Art Print of this custom made painting, but I wanted to show what a canvas print would look like as well.
