Darfur Project - Continued

The painting of the little girl from Darfur received a wash of Raw Umber, mixed with Grey in the background and a lighter Raw Umber wash (no grey) in the foreground. This toned down the colors and made the whole picture harmonize better. I also fixed some of the areas that still needed some work and will let the painting sit for a couple of days. It is always advisable to give the painting process a rest so that you can come back to the work with a fresh perspective. Somehow when one works on a painting the mind's eye perceives certain things, which in actuality are not there. Strange, but true!

So to safe guard against myself, a break is in order!
