Corgis have a lot of character and capturing their cute faces in a custom painted portrait is a wonderful way to showcase their uniqueness.
This painting shows an adult and puppy, each with their own unique look. The older one seems rather happy and I added a twinkle in the eye to further enhance the expression.
The original reference photo consisted of several undesiable elements that did nothing to enhance the overall look of the painting. Therefore we chose a muted background where the foregroudn gradually recedes towards the background.
The puppy has beautiful markings and looks with a more intense gaze towards the viewer.
