Materials Used

Materials

A variety of materials are used to achieve the closest match for the item(s) being made.

Materials used are wood, resin, PLA, cardstock, printed designs, fabric, beads, and more.

Items like metallic objects are made to look like metal, chrome, or copper with the use of paint and aging techniques. No actual metals are used.

Pottery items are either made with a 3D printer and painted or made of modeling clays.

As every item is made resemble it's counterpart in real life, please understand that the pieces are handmade and slight variations in the size, color and material should be expected.

Materials used are made to resemble the objects and a 100% match is just not possible.

What to expect

  • Once the order has been placed, I will start working on a proof to show you the overall look of the project.
  • Look at it carefully and make any requests for layout changes at this time.
  • Once the proof is approved the work begins and no major changes are possible. Only minor adjustments like tweaks in color can be made.
  • Throughout the build process images of the work will be shared with you via a video post on my blog, so that you can request tweaks if necessary.
  • Once everything is completed it is shown to you for your final approval before it all gets packaged for shipping.
  • The custom built item will be weighted and you will be asked to make an additional payment for the postage. Package will only be shipped with insurance included.

Add ons

In the day of Pinterest Pinboards, it is easy to get carried away with wanting to add more items to your scene.

Every new item not listed in the initial order form is considered an add-on and can only be added for a separate fee if there is space in the diorama.

Changes

Once you have approved the proof /outline major changes are not possible. However, small adjustments if possible can be requested.

Estimated Delivery Time

Timing:

Single items: 1–2 weeks

Multiple or detailed pieces: 3–6 weeks

Full roombox/diorama: time varies and will be quoted individually

Shipping

Custom Made Dioramas ship with USPS and tracking for free within the Continental USA.

  • Shipping to other locations - please provide your address so we can get a quote for you.

  • IMPORTED ITEMS

Imported Items can sometimes get stuck in custom or be delayed en route. As much as we like to speed up delivery, we advise to please give the item from 2-4 weeks to arrive at your home. We are not responsible for any custom fees.

  • Damaged during transit?

Decide on your Budget

Providing information about your budget is highly beneficial for me. A miniature creation involves the use of various materials such as clay, resin, cardstock, wood,ets. ~ each impacting the cost. Miniature dioramas can range from simple, featuring a single custom-made object, to intricate, recreating entire indoor or outdoor scenes. I will give you options to stay close to your budget.
