Sand Art



During one of my art shows, I had the pleasure to meet Mr.Greg LeBon, founding member of Team Archisand. As we started to talk about paintings and art in general Mr. LeBon showed me some of the sand sculptures he has created for private, as well as corporate clients. I was amazed at the amount of detail and scale of these works.

Archisand was founded in 1989 and its team members have been active in constructing sand sculptures in competitions and professionally for promotional events. Archisand has won the U.S. Open Sand Sculpture Competition Masters Class, 3 out of the last 4 years. How lucky to be able to say, I play with sand all day and get paid for it...

Remember the last time you shoved sand around and attempted to built something? I don't know about you, but I never got any farther then the upside down bucket filled with sand, that later received some embellishment, before it crumbled again. God only knows what challenges creating such large scale sculptures must create for the builder.
