As a pet portrait artist people send me a lot of cute photos of their pets and sometimes it gets really difficult to choose a favorite for their portrait. Imagine running a cutest dog contest as Wehoville did in October or the weekly contest that runs continuesly sly on Modern Dog Magazine.
How on earth would you choose the cutest dog? There are so many adorable pooches with expressive faces out there. The Westminster Kennel Club employes well trained judges for their annual dog shows, that not only look at cuteness, but how well a certain dog represents the breed based on body shape and coat color. On-line sites often rely on us, the general public to vote for our favorites counting on us to just go bonkers over a cute face. There the majority rules, the pooch with the most likes and hearts comes out ahead of the gang.
I have to admit whenever I find myself sick and in bed I click to over to the Animal Planet TV Show "Too Cute" and just soak up hours of puppies bouncing around from here to there. They are guaranteed to bring a smile to my face no matter how sick I am. I wonder if that's a sure sign of me getting old? Hmmm...
Anyhow, I wonder if you have ever submitted your dog's photo to a contest? Do you have a favorite pet site that you have cast your vote on?
