Artist Portrait Series Feature at Linus Gallery

The artist portrait series at Linus Gallery has been a series of photo shoots and blog posts highlighting the artists who have exhibited at the gallery. I was very lucky to be included in that group and just received my photos from the photo session with the phenomenal portrait photographer Linnea Lenkus.

Linnea Lenkus' career spanned from modeling to working in commercial photography, with advertising agencies and graphic design firms to finally specializing in family photography.

Prior to the shoot, with mixed feelings about posing for pictures,  I saw Linnea's work and watched the video on her website.  I immediately felt comfortable with having my photo taken by her. I tend to avoid the camera whenever possible, because let's face it, wrinkles and a double chin are just not what I want to see when I look at photos of myself.  Linnea started the session with casual conversation and before I knew it she had me laughing and totally relaxed. Now, when I look at my photos, I can see she has really captured me in a very natural way and I absolutely love the overall color of my photos. Thank you so much Linnea for making this such a memorable experience!

Linnea also does very artful Fine Art Nude photo sessions that you have to see. She truly has an artistic eye for capturing the human form regardless of age and gender. She has two studios one in Long Beach and one in Pasadena and I can see perhaps a couples photo shoot in the near future :)
