A Stunning House Cat

I just finished a new cat portrait and thought I share it. I love how the fur go this cat came together. I worked in several layers, making sure that each dried before I applied the next so that the fullness of the fur would really come through.

Those who love cats have always know that their furry friends have wild ancestors. Scientists have found out that the house cat's ancestors linage can be traced back to the Fertile Crescent. This would be the area around Israel, Saudi Arabia and other Middle Easter countries where wildcat decedents still roam free.
