I had a bit of free time and decided to work on some miniature holiday decor items. Pretty soon one thing led to another and my imagination took over.
I had ordered these Santas for the shop and did not like their finishes. It was the perfect time to get out some paints and make them look cute. By adding shadows and highlights these little decor item started to look much better than before.
I placed one figurine by the gifts and another one on top of the mantel. Then I remembered that I had some cute little trucks as well and started to give them a bit of an aged look and enhanced the details on the tree with touches of white Acrylic paint.
I got a little visitor who was wondering what is happening.
I love how everything looks and could kick myself for not making a little diorama out of this before I got so busy with portrait orders. So for now it will go on a shelf until there is more time to work on it for next year.
