Style Backdrop Diorama

This order is for a Christmas-themed backdrop Diorama loosely based on the sketch. Please refer to the attached image for an itemized list of what the diorama will include.

Backdrop Diorama

A miniature piece on a platform flanked by one wall is called a "backdrop diorama." These are often used to display small-scale scenes with one defined vertical backdrop to set the scene while leaving the rest open for viewing. A backdrop diorama, unlike an enclosed shadow box, allows the chaise to be positioned at an angle, creating a more dynamic arrangement and giving the scene a sense of openness and breathing room.

The payment is for the diorama only and shipping will be billed separately whenever the project is completed.

💡 The Process:

1️⃣ Consultation: Share your ideas, preferences, and vision for your dream miniature scene via the Contact Form. I recommend you measure the available display area and let me know if you prefer a shadow box, diorama or room box. Depending on your needs I will let you know if any items have to be outsourced and if any additional charges will apply to the base price listed here.

2️⃣ Design Phase: I will work closely with you to translate your vision into a detailed project plan. You'll have the opportunity to review and refine the concept until it's perfect. Once the initial concept is approved only minor tweaks can be made.

3️⃣ Crafting Excellence: Once the design is approved, you will be asked to pay the full amount, so I can start to order the supplies needed for your project. Add-ons that were not part of the initial quote will be charged separately.

I will meticulously craft your miniature room box or diorama, using only the finest materials to ensure longevity and beauty.

4️⃣ Delivery: Your miniature masterpiece will be carefully packaged and delivered to your doorstep, ready to be displayed and admired. Shipping charges are payable once the project is completed and can be weighted.

When you submit your payment you also automatically agree to the terms outlined.

MATERIALS USED

Various materials are used to achieve the closest match for the item(s) being made.

Wood, resin, PLA, cardstock, printed designs, fabric, beads, and more are used.

Items like metallic objects are made to look like metal, chrome, or copper using paint and aging techniques. No actual metals are used.

Pottery items are either made with a 3D printer and painted or made of modeling clays.

As every item is made to resemble its counterpart in real life, please understand that the pieces are handmade, and slight variations in the size, color, and material should be expected.

Materials used are made to resemble the objects and a 100% match is impossible.

Shipping

The shipping quoted is based on USPS with tracking. Once I know the project's scope, size, and shipping address I can quote you the approximate shipping rate for your order after the consultation.

Refunds

Once you agree to proceed with the project the custom order becomes non-refundable or exchangeable. If the item arrives damaged during transit a refund will be requested from the mail carrier and a replacement will be made for you.

What to expect

Once the order has been placed, I will start working on a proof to show you the overall look of the project.
Look at it carefully and make any requests for layout changes at this time.
Once the proof is approved the work begins and no major changes are possible. Only minor adjustments like tweaks in color can be made.
Throughout the build process images of the work will be shared with you via a video post on my blog, so that you can request tweaks if necessary.
Once everything is completed it is shown to you for your final approval before it all gets packaged for shipping.
The custom built item will be weighted and you will be asked to make an additional payment for the postage. Package will only be shipped with insurance included.

Add ons

In the day of Pinterest Pinboards, it is easy to get carried away with wanting to add more items to your scene.

Every new item not listed in the initial order form is considered an add-on and can only be added for a separate fee if there is space in the diorama.

Changes

Once you have approved the proof /outline major changes are not possible. However, small adjustments if possible can be requested.

Custom Made Dioramas ship with USPS and tracking for free within the Continental USA.

Shipping to other locations - please provide your address so we can get a quote for you.

IMPORTED ITEMS

Imported Items can sometimes get stuck in custom or be delayed en route. As much as we like to speed up delivery, we advise to please give the item from 2-4 weeks to arrive at your home. We are not responsible for any custom fees.

Providing information about your budget is highly beneficial for me. A miniature creation involves the use of various materials such as clay, resin, cardstock, wood,ets. ~ each impacting the cost. Miniature dioramas can range from simple, featuring a single custom-made object, to intricate, recreating entire indoor or outdoor scenes. I will give you options to stay close to your budget.
