I was browsing the web when I came across Allain's work and this image just made me smile the minute I saw it. I love this man's joyous laughter and had to ask Allain for permission to paint from his photo. This painting is one of my favorites, because to me it says: Whatever life has in store for you - always have fun!
Update:
I like to start every painting by drawing the image free hand on a grid. In a way it is like practicing playing the scales on a piano. Here my eye and hand coordination gets trained to observe the shapes and see how they interlock to create the entire picture
