Decorating with Berries
California weather in the Fall ranges from the Indian Summer where temperatures can get mighty toasty to rather cool evenings. This means that anything you pick from the garden to utilize in an outdoor decorating arrangement dries out in no time at all, leaving the arrangement rather sad looking.
To combat this I usually buy a few fake berries and make my arrangements last at least one season, before the sun bleaches out all the color. Over time this can get pretty expensive and that's why I love visiting 2nd hand stores. I picked up the candle holder for one dollar and found the berries on sale. Voila! A little fall arrangement for the patio ~
