Every year our family puts together a Christmas list with things everyone is wishing to get. This year my daughter surprised me by asking for a cookware by Le Creuset
These colorful, very heavy enamel cast iron pots and pans are constantly featured on cooking shows and in cook books. Since 1925, the skilled craftsmen at Le Creuset have perfected enameled cast iron cookware. Each shape is one of a kind, made from molten steel and cast in a unique mold, and then expertly enameled. They are so popular because they distribute heat more evenly than most regular pans, and the tight fitting lids ensure that the moisture and flavor stay inside. What I like best about them, after their cheerful colors of course, is that they do not scratch up and can go from the stove to the oven and even into the freezer.
The store Sur La Table has them on sale right now! I guess i have some shopping to do today!
