Custom Oil Portrait of Two Brothers | Portraits by NC
Brotherly love is the natural affection associated with near kin and a bon created between siblings that last a lifetime. When my client submitted her first photo reference, I asked her to look for more photos, because it showed the siblings in poses that were not at all suitable for a portrait. When I looked through more photos it soon became obvious that these two brothers have a very special relationship with each other. So much so that it was conveyed through their interactions via the photographs.
An unusual composition for a portrait, I chose to paint them lying on the grass. I loved the way their arms interlocked and how happy they are together. I hope that this painting will be a wonderful reminder of their boyhood time when they are much older.
