Black Labrador Oil Portrait
Black Labrador Oil Portraits are painted with one goal in mind, which is to make their dark coat come alive in a painterly way and to get a correct dog likeness.
This painting started out with a different colored background setting. I wanted to add some texture and color variation so that it does not look too flat.
Often when a large painting is scaled down to show on-line the actual details get lost so I am going to include some close-up shots of the fur, eye and nose.
