I put on the finishing touches by solidifying the background color and making the cone sharper. I think this painting would look awesome in a mid-century home or a cabin. I am eager to see who ends up buying it.

Decided to turn the pine cone upside down and have it hanging from a branch. The branch still needs work, but that will have to wait until tomorrow.

Today I started a new painting of a little pine cone. Also part of the winter themed exhibit at the
( November 1 through December 30th, 2011) I am painting as fast as humanly possible to get enough paintings finished. This means there is little time for me to update my web site with my completed works.
I figured I give a peek at my working process. This is a 5 in x 5 in piece and I did a rough outline drawing in pencil. It all looked rather geometric and I am adding form as I go along. I am not sure if I should include the branch or sit the cone against something. We shall see...
