Blue Tribe Drawing
Well, I have finally started a new painting. This will be a painting of Denise P. who lives in the U.K and designs clothing and tribal head dresses, among many other things. She is doing a series on the four elements and this will be my interpretation of her water theme. I still don’t know what to call this painting, so suggestions are welcomed.
1st Layer The Pencil/Ink Sketch
I start most of my larger paintings by doing some sketches. These are often just ideas which I move around in Photoshop until I decide on figure placement, background and overall theme. Then I start to draw out the figure and anything that has a lot of detail. Once I am fairly happy with the way things look, I use an ink pen to trace over the graphite. After giving the electric eraser a good spin to clean up the surface , I am ready for the Step 2.
