New Cat Portrait

Cat Portrait work in progress
This Tabby cat is Louie and I am painting it for a client. I started with a very rough sketch and proceeded to block in a light color just to figure out where the darks and light are. My client selected a light blue/beige background and that is loosely blocked in as well. This painting is going to be a birthday gift for someone very special, so I need to keep painting to get it finished in time. I will post more updates as they become available.
