Beautiful Pines

Various Pines

My love for everything pine started when I was a little girl living in Austria. I remember my brother and I getting all bundled up and going on walks with our parents through the forest.

To this day I just run to every pine and smell the needles and you won't believe this, but go gathering pine cones too. I actually have a bag that I just collected for a holiday project still in the garage! The project that has not taken flight yet, came after an inspirational visit to Roger's Garden and seeing the tree formations there.

I totally fell in love with these! I could not figure out how they were made, because they were too light to be wooden, but I love the rustic feel of them. Check out the black bear in the back climbing the pine tree! Isn't he super cute?!

Stick Tree

This was genius! A bunch of branches where arranged in the form of a tree and had a few stars made of berries on them. Inexpensive and so different, this would be ideal to set up somewhere in the garden. I would hang dried apples and other goodies for the birds on it.  Love the fact that it's so natural, yet can be festive as well.

I am a bit sad to have to clear out all the Christmas decorations. It takes me three days to set up everything and now it all has to come down -  sigh!

Here are some more photos I took. Which one is your favorite?
