Annual Getty Garden Pilgrimage

The Getty Museum is one of the places I can visit over and over. It's not just for the lovely art collection, but also for the beautiful garden on the grounds. There is something so peaceful about this place that I can just stroll around for hours on end.

Since California is going through a drought, the floral display was not as stunning as usual, but there were still some beauties to be spotted.

I had heard that the fountain had been drained to conserve water and was pleasantly surprised to find water in the pond. The Getty Center features several gardens and fountains, some of which can be found at the Museum Courtyard and the Tram arrival Plaza.

Over all it was a great day, especially since I got to hang out with my daughter who flew in from out of town to surprise me for my birthday.
