The Demy Recipe Saver

I think every cook you ask will tell you they have volumes of cookbooks and recipe cards ranging from great grandmas secret pie recipe to the latest gourmet chef's dish you found on Secret Recipes.com.

My recipe cards are sometimes in such a bad shape from frequent handling that I often can not even make out my own writing. The other day though I found the Demy, which allows the recipe collector to create a free account on their web site and up or download recipes to it. After that's done the Demy gets plugged in your PC or Mac and synchronizes up to 2500 recipes to the device. Now instead of going through tons of book or hauling your PC into the kitchen you have a handy small device that props up and allows you to quickly access your recipes.

Another great feature is the conversion and substitute feature. The latter being a real time saver, when you forgot to buy that one ingredient the recipe calls for.

Do you have a Demy? Has it made your recipe organizing task easier? I would love to try one out and will have to visit some stores to check it out.
