Need Milk? Head to Broguiere's Farm Fresh Dairy

Fresh milk is hard to come by when you are city dweller, or in my case live in the suburbs. I think the closest dairy farm is at least an hour away, but when I heard that Broguiere's Farm Fresh Dairy is located at 505 S Maple Ave, in Montebello, CA my ears perked up. When I learned that they sell their milk in old fashioned glass bottles in some selected neighborhood stores, a trip to the store was scheduled right away.

Their chocolate milk tastes so rich and creamy that it is to die for! Then I tried the eggnog and figured I must have overdosed on the chocolate milk, died and went to heaven. The eggnog was out of this world!

Ice cream and extra thick cream, as well as a 75 year old recipe mix of of nutmeg and spices get mixed by hand to create Broguire eggnog. The dairy sells about nine thousand gallons of eggnog each year, simply by word of mouth and people get rather upset when they run out. I can totally understand why!

Broguiere's eggnog now is sold at some selected stores like Ralphs, Vons, Bristol Farms and Whole Foods. I found mine at Bristol Farms and came home with a six pack of dairy goodness.
