Shih Tzu Pet Portrait Painting 426

Shih Tzu pet portraits like this painting of a reclined pet are always fun to paint. This breed has such large round eyes that it's easy to make the portrait look super cute.

The painting started with a reference photo that had other people in it. I took them out and changed the entire background to bring the dog more into focus. 

My client wanted me to add Cookie's name to the tag, so I wrote the name in as large as I could. By playing around with different textures the muzzle was brought into focus making the entire painting pop.
