Schnauzer Oil Portrait is Finished
Every time I receive a less than perfect reference photo for an oil painting, it becomes a game of sorts to see how well I can paint the portrait. This Schnauzer portrait was fun to create. I started out with a purple/blue undercoat and then built up the paint from there.
I put out fresh paints every day and build from thin layers up to more Impasto thick layers. Below you can see some of the colors I have been using.
