The painting of a Pine Cone is a decorative artwork that has a teal colored background to offset the brown tones of the pine cone. This painting was a nice change from all the pet portraits I have been painting recently. This is a 14x14in much larger copy of a small painting I did many years ago. The larger scale lends itself much better to show off the added texture. Here are some close-up shots.
The background color took a bit longer to dry. I totally forgot how some of my paints are slow-dry and need to make a point to separate them from the other fast dry paints I use. Here is another close-up.
