Eshal Child Portrait

Eshal_w_dog.jpg

Even though this is a super cute photo, it is not suitable for a portrait. Therefore,

I have been playing around looking for various ways to work the reference photo of Eshal into a nice little composition and believe that I have finally found s.th that works.

I looked at more photos of the dog and Eshal, took the heads of two different photos and montage them on a third one in Photoshop to come up with this composition. I really like the interaction of the dog's cast down face and Eshal's sad look. There is this "V" shape pull away that creates a bit of tension, yet the character's emotions link them back together.
