Grisaille #2 - Amal Child Portrait
A little update on Amal...
I have been working away at her headdress. With every new layer more of the painting comes together. Getting the jewelery right has been a tiring affair and a strain on my eye sight, therefore progress has been rather slow. But I love it when the painting starts to take form. I am at a stage where the temptation to switch to color is increasingly in the back of my mind, especially since I have received another portrait commission and need to get Amal done. Yet there is so much that needs to get cleaned up, corrected, etc..... Ah, if there were only more hours in a day!
