Cocker Spaniel Portrait of Barclay
The portrait of this Cocker Spaniel was painted as part of a very large order (5 portraits) for the same family. Many of the pets have passed on and the photos I have been receiving have left a great deal to be desired. However, this style is ideal for photo references where details are not visible, because they capture the overall presence of the pet in a fun and contemporary look.
The English Cocker Spaniel is a breed that can live up to 15 years. The English Cocker Spaniel is an active, good-natured, sporting dog standing well up at the withers and compactly built. My first dog was a Cocker Spaniel named Champie, who we loved dearly as kids.
