Portrait of a Man

Man portrait work in progress 1

I love to experiment with different techniques, sometimes even having the canvas texture showing through. Here I employed a variety of techniques to emphasize the masculinity of the subject. From unfinished sections to highly developed areas the feel is very painterly.

These are the work in progress shots that show how the painting developed over time.
