I have started on a new cat portrait and will be adding photos of the painting progress. This oil portrait will be 8x10 inches and my client wanted to keep the background just like in the photo. Since I first wrote this blog post I made a lot more progress on this painting and it is almost finished. I did a life painting session on Instagram and put together this video.
Please mute the music, something happened during upload and I do not know how to fix the tracks so that they play at the right speed - sorry about that :)
And here is the finished painting. The paint is still wet so there is some glare on the photo. As soon as my client approves the painting, the final varnish will be added and the painting gets prepared for shipping.
