Making Changes

A painting has a tendency to tell you when things are just not quiet right. As I kept working I was getting increasingly dissatisfied with the heaviness of the necklace, which made Denise look like a butch Amazon woman. Somehow, I also managed to loose her neck and make her right arm way to thick. With lots of mumbling #@!, I dipped the brush into skin color and painted the entire necklace back out. Then I reevaluated the anatomy and started looking for a new necklace design. I spent the entire day working and I am pretty happy with the new results, which I will post tomorrow. By the way on the left image I introduced some yellow into the background to see if the headdress will look brighter. What do you think?
