Labradoodle Eye Detail Building texture in a painting sometimes requires unconventional tools. A while back I purchased a series of dental picks for just such a use. The sharp metal tips allow me to pick up paint and add the paint in areas that need more definition. The flat versus raised paint give the illusion of stray hairs.
