Kissed by the Moon Work in Progress
Whenever there is an interruption in my usual painting routine, I tend to become tense and unfocused. To get back into the groove, painting little vignettes like this 5 x 7 inch painting of a pumpkin does the trick. Done in alla prima, playing around loosely with paint is extremely relaxing and the more the painting starts to develop the more I become focused to look for errors and push the painting as far as I can.
