Eshal - Color Stage 1

Eshal Work In Progress Eshal Work In Progress

Eshal 1st Color Stage

After I finished the drawing of Eshal, I started to block in color . This time I am using a 8"x10" panel, which has a very smooth surface. This painting will be shipped to Pakistan and therefore I wanted to use something sturdier than a canvas.

Eshal is the little sister of Amal whose painting I did in 2007 - see below

In order to keep working on the painting, I developed the face and clothing as far as I could. This gives me a chance to work now on the background and the dog, while these areas dry.

Unlike her sister's painting Eshal will definitely be that of a little girl and I can't wait to see how it develops.

Update - below is the finished painting of Eshal
