This is the 2nd portrait I have painted for a family in Singapore in this very abstract modern style. Wombat is the name of this horse who has passed on, but will be living on as this colorful painting. I love it when I get to experiment with new styles and although these type of portraits are very time consuming, think that the end result is truly unique. 

Here are the before and after shots that show what can be done with even the worst of photo reference. Through a constant back and forth email communication, my client filled in the gaps that were not clearly visible in the photo reference.
