This black Labrador portrait was painted for a client over the Christmas Holidays. The original photo looked washed out and it was up to me to give this lab his dark, black coat back. I did this by doing a lot of tweaking between dark shades and texture build up to get enough definition into the painting to make the dog pop. I hope that the recipient of this portrait will be pleased with the end result and treasure this portrait of their beloved dog.
