Miniature Bird Cages 1/12 Scale

I have been working on shabby chic style miniature bird cages that can be used as decorative elements in your dollhouse or as part of your craft project. The bird cages were made out of resin and then embellished with hand made flowers. Each cage is in 1/12 scale and the finish is made to look vintage. The flowers are either made of air dry clay or out of paper.

I love flowers and think that they add charm to these cages. Once I have more time I might experiment with other embellishments as well. I also sell the bird cages unfinished, without the flowers. The cages ( with the exception of the one with the roses) have a tiny bird on the inside. If you are crafty you can embellish the cage and color it and the bird in whatever color you like using Acrylic paint.

To make the paper roses I used JUYA Paper Quilling Kits. The kit comes with paper and the tools you need to twirl the paper into these tiny roses.I cut the paper strips into half after I twirled the flowers. Then I coaxed the corners into shaped touched the petals up with a nit of water color.

Which flower do you like best? The ones made out of air dry clay or the paper flowers?
