Festive Cozying Up: Holiday Decorating in My 1:12 Scale Farmhouse
There is nothing quite like decorating for the holiday season—especially when it comes to miniature scale! My 1:12 scale farmhouse has always been one of my favorite creative canvases, and giving its cozy front porch a warm, seasonal refresh is something I look forward to every year.
Things have been wonderfully busy around here lately. Between working on custom client commissions and completely relocating my entire studio setup to a new area of the house, my schedule has been packed. Settling into a new creative space takes time, but once the dust settled, I knew my first order of business was to bring a bit of holiday magic back to the farmhouse.
I finally had a quiet moment in the studio to pull out the autumn florals, warm lantern lighting, and cozy handcrafted accents. Adding small details—like the textured plaid pillow on the black rocking chair and the golden glow from the porch lantern—instantly brought this scale scene to life.
Creating a cozy, inviting feel in miniature is all about layering textures and natural tones. It feels so good to have the new studio space set up, surrounded by ongoing artwork, and to share this quiet seasonal corner with you.
