It's been a bit crazy at the studio in the last couple of weeks. Between commissions, the collaboration with Fifijoy on this excellent book nook kit, and moving my studio from the downstairs to a larger room in the upper section of the house, I am a bit tired, to say the least. However, after a long day, I look forward to sitting down and working on this kit. 
The cabinet for the musical instruments is super easy to put together. I  love all these little musical instruments - they just look too cute!

One of the things that surprised me about this kit was that even sections that you can hardly see look nice. This base board on the cabinet is almost hidden once the cabinet goes into its designated place, but the builder can enjoy the attention to detail while they are working on the piece.
I like to lay out every piece and give things a dry run to avoid mistakes down the road. Each one of the squares on my table is 1cm in size. This  helps to see how small these pieces really are.

If you like to make the books look vintage you can go over the edges with a marker or just bend the corners to make the books appear used.
